- Coordinate repair schedules after reviewing hi-lo checklists.
- Oversee and timely unload trucks, guiding material drivers efficiently.
- Keep part labels on racks and bins up-to-date with team leader collaboration.
- Schedule and manage the return of materials, coordinating effectively with carriers.
- Track inbound freight with carriers and vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
- Initiate material expedites to protect production capabilities when necessary.
- Verify outbound trailers to prevent product from being left behind.
- Complete the Material Supervisor checklist on a daily basis.
- Communicate any shortages and safety stock needed to the supply base.
- Ensure storage of all parts according to PFEP guidelines.
- Maintain the layout of the dock with the help of the team leader.
- Keep receiving and shipping logs consistently updated.
- Check inbound trailers against supplier shipper documentation for accuracy.
- Directly supervise the shipment activities of finished seat assemblies to the customer.
- Assist in the preparation of load diagrams, shippers, bills of lading, and verification sheets.
- Ensure seat availability by coordinating production processes, materials, and quality reviews.
- Keep finished goods inventory running to prevent production line interruptions.
- Update and maintain integrity within the computerized finished goods storage system.
- Maintain seat availability and float levels at the customer plant.
- Communicate effectively with the customer plant's Material Department, Seat Install, and dock supervisors.
- Notify Lear Management about irregularities such as downtime, line overtimes, and delayed trucks.
- Monitor live broadcasts for customer production rates and report irregularities promptly.
- Manage and expedite customer repair seat orders in collaboration with Lear Production, Materials, IT, and Quality departments.
