- Update and configure software installations tailored to specific plant needs.
- Conduct plant floor testing and troubleshoot when issues arise, ensuring smooth integration of new code and plant configurations.
- Collaborate seamlessly with development and support teams to guarantee 100% uptime, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with IT infrastructure delivery teams to install and configure virtual servers in plant data centers independently.
- Work hand-in-hand with IT Project Management to ensure on-time delivery of launch and deployment activities, escalating risks when needed.
- Identify opportunities for automation in deployment processes using scripting or CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate application functionality with physical systems alongside in-plant IT support.
- Analyze and configure business requirements to meet launch and deployment objectives.
- Ensure data continuity through rigorous testing with upstream and downstream plant software applications.
- Tackle IT system integration challenges head-on, bringing technical insights to problem-solving.
- Harness your knowledge of software monitoring tools to keep performance at its peak.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent education and relevant work experience.
- Experience in Agile teams with a track record of consistent software delivery and code reviews.
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end applications hosted on Kubernetes, emphasizing scalability and fault tolerance.
- Proven capability in diagnosing issues from browser to database and back with precision.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, adept at conveying feedback and solutions.
- Creative problem-solving skills that deliver sleek solutions to intricate problems.
- A passion for teamwork and the knack for fostering collaboration across teams.
- Willingness to travel to plant locations for workshops or deployment activities.
- Flexibility to work during manufacturing plant downtime (weekends, second shift, third shift, holidays).
- Hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Experience with PostgreSQL updates and data querying.
- Proficiency in server provisioning, virtual machines, and networking infrastructure.
- Competency with UNIX, cloud technology, and tools like Azure DevOps, IT Service Manager, PowerBI, GitHub, Artifactory.
- Experience with IT Enterprise Security concepts and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 3 years of experience integrating with industrial robots or other automation equipment in a manufacturing environment.
