Our team is in search of a Civil Project Engineer who is ready to design and manage projects that will redefine our transportation landscape and enhance our community's infrastructure.
What you'll be doing...
As a Civil Project Engineer , your responsibilities will include :
- Designing and developing a range of transportation and public works infrastructure projects, such as roads, highways, intersections, drainage systems, sidewalks, and other public facilities.
- Performing intricate geometric design calculations for horizontal and vertical alignments.
- Preparing comprehensive construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Coordinating closely with utility providers to identify and resolve potential conflicts during design and construction.
- Updating and maintaining as-built records and mappings to accurately reflect project outcomes.
- Collaborating with architects, surveyors, other engineers, and public stakeholders to ensure projects meet community needs and align with a broader vision.
- Managing project budgets, schedules, and timelines, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Supervising certain construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from government agencies and public utility providers.
- Staying up to date on the latest engineering standards, materials, and technologies in both transportation and public works sectors.
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona.
- At least 6 years of experience in transportation project engineering and / or public works projects.
- Expert-level proficiency in geometric design principles and software.
- A strong understanding of drainage, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure.
- Knowledge of construction methods and materials for various project types.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical staff, project stakeholders, and the public.
