Our client, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), is seeking an experienced Programmer 6 to support their Development and Maintenance programs.
As a key player in the MDOT Development program, you will collaborate with project teams, UI / UX designers, and Business analysts to develop and maintain accessible, performant, scalable, and robust UI components. You will be responsible for ensuring WCAG 2.1, ADA compliance, and responsive design in all development projects.
What you'll be doing...
- Developing and maintaining reusable UI components
- Ensuring WCAG 2.1 and ADA compliance
- Testing development for accessibility using Jaws reader and multiple browser plugins
- Programming in projects using JPA and current Spring frameworks
- Participating as a programmer within an Agile development environment
- 5 years of experience with React.js, HTML5, CSS Frameworks, ADA, WCAG 2.1, Section 508 compliance policies, and User Experience design principles and standards
- 3 years of experience with current JAVA, including using relevant IDE tools such as Eclipse / Jboss Developer Studio, and with Java 8
- 2 years of experience programming in projects using JPA framework, current Spring framework, Spring Boot and Spring Data, and in the JBOSS Enterprise environment
- Experience in an Agile development environment
