Your Responsibilities
- Utilize manual and automated tools to ensure digital accessibility and test with assistive technology.
- Assess adherence to branding and additional digital standards.
- Conduct thorough testing across both desktop and mobile devices.
- Document the results of reviews meticulously and provide feedback to relevant teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with eMichigan team members to enhance and optimize processes.
- Engage in additional duties as required.
- A certificate or degree in any field is required, with an emphasis on Information Technology (IT) preferred.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a formal certificate or degree.
- At least 1 year of experience testing applications for digital accessibility (3 years preferred).
- 1 year working knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- Expertise in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
- Proficiency in digital accessibility testing methods.
- Solid skills in using assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, and more.
- Advanced abilities in accessibility evaluation tools like WAVE, Developer Tools, and Accessibility Inspector.
- Versatility with various desktop and mobile devices as well as operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android.
- Adeptness in preparing comprehensive documentation and maintaining detailed project records.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA with multilingual skills being an advantage.

Location : Lansing, Michigan
Hours : Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
Note : In-office work may be required for the initial 1-2 months for onboarding. Post-onboarding, a hybrid schedule will be in place, with in-office presence required on Mondays and Tuesdays, and remote work for the rest of the week.
