What You'll Be Doing...
- Lead the implementation of a complex Linux security framework on DW ETL servers, ensuring authorization of user access and group security activities.
- Manage security and access protocols for Teradata environments.
- Oversee the Common Batch Framework and Scheduler to guarantee accurate and timely data availability for essential business processes and decision making.
- Administer Data Warehouse change management infrastructure, facilitating both manual and automated code promotion processes.
- Streamline processes by migrating three separate MDHHS Data Warehouses supporting four MDHHS Program areas.
- Ensure all Data Warehouse standards align with SOM policies and are effectively communicated and upheld.
- Conduct regular user access audits to maintain data confidentiality and integrity.
- Address any audit findings, providing strategic input for security plans (SSPs).
- Develop and execute comprehensive Data Warehouse Continuity Plans and testing procedures.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and resolution support for escalated Data Warehouse issues.
- A minimum of 12 years of Teradata experience.
- At least 10 years of expertise in SQL and shell scripting.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux environments.
- Proficiency in handling data from various source systems.
- Proven capability in providing targeted training and technical support to enhance development team performance.
- A demonstrable history of independent work within a collaborative team framework.
- The ability to make judicious decisions that align with State of Michigan and MDHHS / DTMB policies.
