Job Title: Fleet Technician
The primary purpose of this role is to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, forklifts, tankers, and trailers.
- Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Assist in educating Route Sales Representatives on pre and post-trip inspections.
- Process invoices for payment and act as the vendor billing point of contact.
- Maintain parts inventory and budget.
- Ensure a safe work environment and maintain cleanliness of the workspace.
- Learn other aspects of Warehouse/Transportation duties.
Qualifications:
- Two years of technical education or three years of hands-on experience (gas or diesel accepted).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Cummins, Ford, or other engine manufacturer Diagnostic Tool proficiency.
- Ability to handle physical requirements, including repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Valid driver's license.
- CDL A preferred.
- ASE Certification required within a specified period of time.
- Possession of personal tools.
- Positive team-player attitude and exceptional work ethic, energy, and drive.
