Job Description
The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end project activities, including equipment installations, infrastructure upgrades, and new material introductions in the supply chain. This position involves coordinating project team efforts, managing communication with stakeholders, and ensuring successful project execution.
Reporting Location: Ontario, California
Pay Range: $121,411 - $137,638 / annually. This role is annual bonus-eligible.

- Travel: Up to 60% of domestic travel to visit plants and vendors/partners is required
- Manage projects exceeding $50 million in capital expenditure (CAPEX), including overseeing major national launches and multisite implementations across all locations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams and third-party resources to deliver projects.
- Lead project startup, reviews, and escalation management.
- Coordinate efforts with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), vendors, District Manager (DM), and plant staff to resolve punch-list items and ensure quality deliverables through testing.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, commissioning plans, and startup processes.
- Manage project documentation, budgets, and records using the Capital Management Tool.
- Ensure expenditure forecast accuracy and financial closure with settled assets under construction.
- Meet technical requirements and secure approval for technical acceptance.
- Facilitate project goals, risk assessments, stakeholder feedback, and periodic reporting.
- Obtain stakeholder approvals for project handover documentation and ensure proper close-out stages.
- Oversee execution of cross-functional technical teams and support project verification.
- Develop execution strategies, cost estimates, preliminary schedules, and evaluate project and engineering alternatives.
- Drive due diligence, manage RFP processes, and oversee procurement for equipment, contractor selection, contract negotiation, and bidding.
- Collaborate with design teams to prepare and review specifications and drawing packages (IFBR, IFB, IFBC, IFR).
- Implement and manage bid cycles across all project disciplines, including leading on-site bid events.
- Ensure construction methods are safe, timely, and high-quality while serving as the primary contact between the project core team and plant staff.
- Provide accurate CAPEX forecasting within the project management tool.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical, or electrical engineering preferred
- Minimum 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience - dairy, food & beverage, or liquid manufacturing preferred
- Ability to travel domestically up to 60% for plants visits and vendors/partners
- Proven project management expertise: PMP certification is a plus.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, ERP, SAP preferred
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing cross-functional teams and contractors.

- Excellent business acumen and effective communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
