Job Description
We are currently seeking a Sales Merchandiser to be located in Long Island City, NY .
The starting pay for this position is $29.00 an hour commission.
The primary responsibilities will include :
The Merchandiser's primary responsibility is to grow revenue by developing and servicing DSD chain accounts and small independent DSD customers within a designated territory. This includes, taking product orders, merchandising both cold vault and warm shelves, expanding our product portfolio within existing accounts, ensuring planogram compliance, ensuring proper POS is visible and updated, adhering to pricing guidelines, managing account information and working safely. This role is highly interactive and has a strong sales and service focus. Specific accountabilities :
Sales
- Takes inventory and places orders for future delivery to avoid out-of-stocks and reduction of out of-date product. Upsell and increase SKUs where authorized
- Minimum of weekly visits to assigned stores. 20-30 visits per day with avg order size of $125-$150
- Develops all assigned accounts relative to sales volume, market share, product distribution, space allocation, and customer service
- Solicits placement of equipment, sells sufficient product inventory, and executes promotions; adhering to pricing and promotion guidelines
- Monitor competitive environment to understand and leverage sales opportunities
- Solicitation of new accounts fitting approved ReadyRefresh target profile
