Summary:
We are seeking a Service Field Technician who would be responsible for the maintenance and repair of client systems. This is a full-time position based in Wixom, Michigan. Schedule is Monday through Friday, with overtime pay when applicable. Weekend and Holiday work may be requested.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and repair of AV equipment from varying manufacturers
- Preventive maintenance and system tuning
- Maintain equipment inventory
- Interfacing with customer on behalf of Bluewater
- Audio tuning and equalization
- Color balancing of multi-display walls
- Training customers on system operation
- Interfacing with sales and engineering (job issues, interfacing with installation manager on job process and issues)
- Completing daily job reports, expense reports and checklists
Skills/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of AV systems and protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problem systems
- People skills for customer interfacing and group training
- Ability to follow processes and procedures
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Keep a safe work environment
- The ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights over 6 feet using ladders or lifts
- Availability to work outside of 8AM to 5PM business hours
- Positive, can-do attitude and solid work ethic
- Set-up of Crestron, AMX and Extron hardware (preferred)
- Ability to load programming provided by others to equipment (preferred)
- Knowledge of how to modify DSP, touch panel, and control processor coding (preferred)
