In this role, you will work on state-of-the-art AI technologies to create groundbreaking generative models and applications.The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of experience with a strong foundation in machine learning, natural language processing (NLP) , and deep learning to solve complex problems and develop transformative AI solutions. Due to the sensitive nature of our projects, the ability to get security clearance with the US government is required .About The Job : At Jaxon, we aim to make AI trustworthy. Adopting large language models (LLMs) in corporate settings is hindered by the 'hallucination problem,' where AI models produce inaccurate or entirely fabricated responses. This issue is preventing LLM use for regulated industries and high-risk applications. This role is crucial in overcoming these challenges.Jaxon’s Domain-Specific AI Logic (DSAIL) technology forms the foundation of most of our deployments. This role will enhance DSAIL’s capabilities in addressing complex data analysis and prediction challenges.The Basics Of This Role Require The Ability ToCollaborate Across Teams : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product managers, to integrate ML models and generative AI solutions into existing systems and workflows.Design and Implement Generative Models : Develop cutting-edge generative models for applications such as text, image, and audio generation.Optimize Data Processing and Model Performance : Conduct data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation to improve accuracy and efficiency.Technical Expertise : Bring strong machine learning engineering experience, especially in NLP and unstructured data within a cloud environment. Proficiency in Python is essential.Experimentation and Analysis : Design experiments, analyze results, and refine models to enhance performance and capabilities.Stay Current with Advancements : Keep up with the latest developments in AI and machine learning, applying new techniques to improve model efficacy.Mentorship : Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to fostering a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture.Stakeholder Communication : Prepare and present findings to stakeholders, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insights.Soft SkillsAble to context switch as needed.Able to classify different projects with different goals.Able to communicate clearly and precisely – not just abstractions.Specific TechnologiesDocker, Docker Compose container development and deployment.Python programming is our language of choice these days, and the accompanying data science stack : NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, etc.Familiarity with calling and making web APIs.Familiarity with modular architectures – IPC, publish-subscribe, etc.Nice-To-HavesFamiliarity with first-order (predicate) logic.Familiarity with formal grammar specification.Experience creating ontologies.About Jaxon : Jaxon is a leading provider of machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions. Building models is cute, but routine at this point and you’re ready to go meta : building the tools (or models) that help other data scientists build their models. There are no hard tech requirements, but experience with the Python ML ecosystem and with LLMs is expected. Additionally : Demonstrated expertise in generative modeling techniques, including GANs, VAEs, and transformer-based architectures.Proficient programming skills in Python with hands-on experience using machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.In-depth knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and / or computer vision.Experienced in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and techniques for model evaluation and optimization.Eligibility to acquire and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.We are looking for somebody who thrives in an environment where day-to-day priorities and tasks may rapidly change.
