What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Recreation Site Supervisor position at Bluffdale City?
The City of Bluffdale is currently accepting applications for Recreation Site Supervisors. This seasonal position will work under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator and has the potential of turning into a part-time position. Bluffdale City is seeking someone who is punctual, dependable, and a team player.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills, ability to make decisions and understand and follow instructions.
- Oversees site, staff, participants, and spectators at sporting event.
- Ensures rules are enforced through our Sports Code of Conduct.
- Assists with field and/or court set-up and take down.
- Ensure safety of staff, participants, and spectators.
- Officiates games (if needed).
- Reports any problems with coaches, participants, parents, or spectators to the Recreation Coordinator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
- Some knowledge and/or experience with the sport (not required).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Exposure to weather extremes and seasonal conditions.
