What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper position at Blumark?
This remote position is a member of the Blumark Accounting Team and is responsible for assisting with internal bookkeeping, data preparation and other various projects as required. This position will be a full-cycle, general staff accounting role and will work exclusively with Blumark employees and partners in maintaining the operations of the internal accounting staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
- Data entry and maintenance in QuickBooks Online.
- Audit data as required.
- Create and maintain financial reporting.
- Demonstrate new processes to outside contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in accounting or related field required (or equivalent in experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.
- Minimum of one year of previous full-cycle bookkeeping would be an advantage.
- Ability to work against deadlines.
- The ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with MS Excel.
