BluMine Health is seeking a Full Time Medical Receptionist to work at its Shepherdsville Clinic. This role is key to the effective operations of the Clinic. The role will interact with the Nurse Practitioner(s), the Medical Assistant(s) as well as patients and visitors. The Medical Receptionist provides administrative support to the Clinic, and schedules, greets and screens patients and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Screening incoming telephone calls.
- Schedules, receives, and announces patients and visitors;
- Assists with scheduling appointments for consultations, x-rays, lab tests, physical therapy etc.
- Ensures that all patient paperwork is complete and ready for the Nurse Practitioner / CMA
- Prepares and sends patient letters and screening authorization responses.
- Calls in / faxes prescriptions to pharmacies
- Maintains the confidentiality of patient information and respects HIPAA in all situations.
- Manages inventory and ordering supplies for the clinic.
- Follows up on patient visits under the Nurse Practitioner direction.
- Enters off site event details in the EMR system when requested by Support Center staff.
- Maintains calendars; schedules patient appointments; physician consultations; and professional meetings.
- Develops and utilizes filing and retrieval systems including electronic patient records.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a medical clinic.
- Demonstrated proficiency in e-clinical works and Microsoft office products, preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and individually.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work the Clinic hours of Monday and Wednesday 9a - 6p, Tuesday and Thursday 8a- 5p, and Friday 8a- 3p.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
