What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Projects position at BluSky?
As a National Project Director - Senior at BluSky, you will be responsible for selling and managing large and/or complex new business opportunities through leads and referrals generated by personal business development activities as well as from other BluSky sales team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate, manage, and close sales leads generated from company and personal referral sources
- Create and present complete and professional bid proposals and time and material billing packages
- Project Coordination: Provide all project information to Project Manager and Project Accountant including budget, completion date, and all other relevant information
- Mentor local Project Directors and assist with large and/or remote projects
- Foster close working relationships with subcontractors and vendor partners
- Ensure production team understands scope, budget, and schedule
- Obtain and submit subcontractor bids as needed
- Show justified job cost prior to transitioning the project to a Project Manager
- Obtain all signed change orders for all changes to the project, as required
- Act as a positive liaison between BluSky, the customer, and the Project Manager
- Check in with all clients weekly once the project has been assigned to a Project Manager
- Ensure weekly communication commitments are kept
- Work closely with Account Collections team to ensure timely invoicing and collections
Requirements:
- 10 years recent marketing/business development and sales experience in the restoration industry with a proven track record of sales growth
- Ability to build inter-company relationships and trust with RVPS, Vice Presidents, RSDs, Project Directors, Business Development Managers, and others through the organization
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively, including the ability to multi-task and work in an environment with changing priorities
- Ability to manage conflict and facilitate successful outcomes
- Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills
- Experience utilizing Xactimate software and Time and Material methodologies, preferred
- Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Travel Requirements:
Requires 70% travel. Additional travel may be expected for training or meetings.
