At BluSky Restoration, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, the Project Director will play a crucial role in estimating, closing sales, and managing restoration projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate and close sales for restoration projects
- Manage near-term opportunities and business development activities
- Track and measure sales and sales opportunities in our CRM and tracking sheets
- Work closely with project teams to ensure timely deposit, progress, and final billings
- Provide oversight and direction to Project Managers in production of revenue
- Review and collaborate with Project Teams on project schedules
- Develop and take ownership of project budgets in compliance with vertical target margins
- Ensure accuracy of budgets and modify them during the course of the project as needed
- Seek to improve project profitability by judicious use of vendors, labor, and material suppliers
- Supervise and monitor project costs to ensure margin integrity
Business Development Activities:
- Schedule and attend business development meetings with clients, adjusters, building consultants, etc.
- Entertain clients as necessary to drive business and close sales
- Partner with Business Development and Vice President in pursuit of all sales
Requirements:
- 5 years of recent marketing/business development and sales experience in the restoration or construction industry
- Extensive construction estimating and/or large loss and catastrophe experience
- Must be able to attend business development networking functions 2-3 evenings a week
- Intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills
- Experience utilizing Xactimate and other estimating software preferred
- Strong knowledge of project management, financial processes, and administration required
- Strong business ethics, integrity, and ability to perform in highly autonomous environments required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience related to the role is preferred
