What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installation Technician III position at Bluum Branding?
Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to be the project lead on-site during the installation. The work being completed must be in accordance with the proposed spec and system design at the Client’s site. This installation work shall comply with Bluum’s Field Operations Manual standards and the current National Electrical Code.
Essential Functions and Job Duties
- Install audio visual equipment on customer site(s) in accordance with the proposal specifications and design.
- Review project scopes, equipment lists, line drawings, etc.
- Function as a mentor, trainer, and technical resource to other Installers.
- Serve as the main contact for customers and Project Managers while on site.
- Stage equipment for upcoming project(s) and verify accuracy.
- Load/unload equipment for installations.
- Perform testing on completed install equipment.
- Provide basic system training for customers.
- Mark up and deliver as built drawings.
- Communicate installation status to the Project Manager and Installation Supervisor.
- Clean up work areas at customer site(s), secure tools, and communicate progress at the end of each day.
- Responsible for completion of end of project updates and closeout documentation.

- CTS is a must as a condition of any employment offer to this position.

- PLT is a plus. Candidates will be expected to pursue PLT certification as a condition of any employment offer for this position.

Supervisory Responsibility
- Supervise installers on projects, including project tasks, training on new products to the installers, and managing

Travel Requirements
Installation Techs are on-site resources, day-to-day travel is required. A company vehicle or vehicle allowance will be provided for regional work. There are going to times where overnights will be required (both in state and out of state).
Work Environment
On-site. Installers will spend most days on client site. These sites can vary from office spaces, classrooms, auditoriums, churches, correctional facilities. In addition to on-site work, Installers will also spend time In-house working on rack builds and staging jobs.
Physical Demands
Must be able to operate various hand tools and power tools. Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, stairs and operate lifts (single person, scissor lifts). Must be able to work at heights equal too if not greater than 25’. Must be able to work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud noises. Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to if not greater than 80 pounds occasionally.
