Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse

Location: Terre Haute, Indiana

Duration: 13-week contract

Shift: 12-hour night shift

Job Description:

1. Patient Monitoring:

• Continuously monitor patients using telemetry equipment to track vital signs, heart rate, and rhythm.
• Recognize and interpret cardiac arrhythmias and other abnormalities.

2. Care Planning:

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
• Adjust care plans based on patient response and telemetry data.

3. Medication Administration:

• Administer medications as prescribed, especially those related to cardiac conditions.
• Monitor and assess the effects of medications on patients.

4. Documentation:

• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the electronic health record.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date patient records.

5. Communication:

• Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient status and changes.
• Provide education to patients and their families on cardiac care and self-management.

6. Emergency Response:

• Respond to cardiac emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Participate in code blue and other emergency situations.

7. Collaborative Care:

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.

8. Compliance:

• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to nursing practice.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of Indiana.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
• Previous experience in telemetry or cardiac nursing preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Salary: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
