POSITION SUMMARY: The EHR Facilitator is guided by the Physician (CPOE) Instructional Designer and by the leaders of the Department of Medicine. The EHR Facilitator supports the Department of Medicine by providing 1:1 instruction and assistance with the goal of improving Physician efficiency and overall user experience. They maintain a clear knowledge of proper Physician workflows, and pain-points throughout the clinics. Position: EHR Facilitator (Epic Credentialed Trainer) Department: EPIC Schedule: Full Time - Hybrid - Primarily remote (LOCAL) ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: EHR Facilitator Responsibilities Assist with the promotion of the EHR Efficiency Program to encourage participation and adoption. Provide timely staff outreach and scheduling coordination. Provide timely feedback on users’ knowledge and skills to the CPOE Instructional Designer and Department of Medicine leaders. Document session attendance and completion within the User Web (Signal). Track metrics/interventions for the duration of the program. Ability to collect, analyze, and present data to staff in a leadership role. Provide at- the-elbow support. Maintain the ability to work variable shifts. Attend regularly scheduled meetings as needed. Assist in validating new workflows as applicable. Assist with maintaining current training materials applicable to DOM Provide instructor led training courses to a diverse audience as needed. Follow training curriculum as developed by the Instructional Designer as needed. Act as a liaison between the department and the CPOE Application team to report system issues via Service Now. Other training duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Associate’s degree or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program (will consider equivalent combination of formal education and experience, i.e. HS/GED plus 2 years related Healthcare experience). EXPERIENCE: For candidates with an Associates or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program, healthcare and/or Epic experience preferred. For candidates with high school diploma/GED, work requires at least 2 years healthcare related experience. Epic experience preferred (Credentialing in CPOE a plus). KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Superior verbal/written English communication skills, including excellent grammatical, editing and proofreading skills. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access, Office Suite, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web browsers. Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment. Manage multiple priorities. Critical thinking and strong problem solving skills. Prior experience with instructor led classroom training and /or Epic preferred. Proven ability to work with confidential information. Ability to build rapport easily. Open and adaptable to change.
