Job Description
BME Fire Trucks is seeking an experienced Drafter / Designer to be part of our Engineering Team. We are a locally owned Fire Truck manufacturer in Boise, Idaho. BME manufactures wildland fire apparatus used in the US and Canada for wildland fire suppression. Be a part of something that makes a difference in saving lives, homes, and our amazing recreational areas. As a Designer you will be the lead sales drawing resource for our sales team, providing accurate and timely drawings as well as the database manager for Bills of Material for the purchasing team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with significant experience in a contributor role who values attention to detail and productivity in a close-knit team environment. Your responsibilities will include :
- Sales Drawing creation for engineering team in support of sales goals
- Database management of bills of material, for assemblies and individual parts in quoting system
- Documentation control through established release and revision process
- Service and manufacturing drafting or design support as required
