Job Description
BME Fire Trucks is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to solves problems and issues with vendors and improve and creates processes as needed.
As an Accounts Payable Specialist your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing accounts, records, reports, ledgers and comparing invoices to PO receipts to ensure accuracy and validity prior to posting
- Preparing and analyzing various financial reports
- Managing all aspects of Accounts Payable
- Processing vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Matching receiving/POs/invoices
- Gaining appropriate approval when necessary
- Coding invoices with appropriate general ledger accounts
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Reconciling vendor statements
- Weekly check runs
- Interfacing with vendors and internal departments as needed
- Assisting in monthly closing procedures
- Balancing bank and credit card statements.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
