We are seeking a CNC Mill/Lathe Operator/Machinist to join our team, you must have a positive attitude, great attendance and be willing to learn. General CNC experience is a plus. This is a full time, day shift position.
Some mill/lathe/machinist type work is required, however we are willing to train the right candidate WITH metal machining experience.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to grow with us, we are willing to train and this could be a great opportunity for on the job learning.
As a Mill/Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining milling machines and lathe to fabricate precision parts.
This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and learning.
Majority of work is not production based, mostly small run jobs with the occasional long run.
Duties:
- Set up and operate milling machines to perform machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of machined parts
- Monitor machine operations and tooling and make adjustments as necessary
- Inspect finished parts for quality control purposes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area/machine / Required Machine maintenance
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Mill/ Lathe Operator / CNC or in a similar metal machinist role
- Proficiency in using hand tools and operating milling/grinding/lathe machines
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, plug gauges, etc.
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions accurately and precisely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude is a must, we can't do something is not in our vocabulary.
