Position Overview :

As an Associate Account Executive, you play at critical role in all aspects of the sales process and ongoing client relationship management in collaboration with our Client Delivery, Marketing, Operations and Product teams. This position includes significant prospecting efforts in addition to responding to inbound leads.  We are looking for a passionate hunter who thrives on networking, building relationships, understanding the customer’s business problems, and bringing them valuable solutions.

This can be a remote-based position (within the continental United States), with an average of 15% travel expected domestically.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities
  • Develop and implement growth strategies within an assigned territory to secure new business and expand business within existing clients
  • Use a consultative sales approach to establish trusted advisor relationships with key clients, referral sources and prospects
  • Support company, team and individual goals through effective sales strategies
  • Help clients understand and solve their unique business challenges with BMI’s solutions
  • Earn customer respect and loyalty to motivate continued and additional business with the client and / or referral source
  • Lead prospective client meetings, conducting sales presentations covering our solutions, and drive communication regarding selection and scope of projects
  • Collaborate with Sales Support Specialists to prepare proposals including recommendations on pricing, features and schedules
  • Provide excellent service and support to prospective customers, responding to inquiries and involving appropriate parties
  • Thoughtfully and efficiently transition new clients to the Client Delivery team
  • Ensure the sales CRM solution is kept up to date with key information and metrics as assigned to ensure accurate reporting
  • Collaborate with peers across on a regular basis to establish best practices, consistency where appropriate, and accomplishment of overall business goals and objectives
  • Support our product driven organization with thoughtful and proactive market feedback
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • A minimum of one to two years of experience working as a sales representative
  • Preferred (but not required) experience with a consultative, strategic sales process in the employee benefits or healthcare industry, with strong preference for demonstrated experience with employee benefits brokers and consultants
  • History of exceeding sale goals and growing existing revenue streams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook) and customer relationship management software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Desired Skills :

  • Knowledge of the healthcare benefits industry (health insurance brokers / producers / consultants, claims audits, dependent eligibility audits) is preferred but not required
