About the Role

BMNT is hiring a Senior Program Analyst for the Hacking for Defense® (H4D) Program. H4D is a nationwide university program that leverages student teams to address national security problems facing the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. At BMNT, Senior Analysts play an integral role in the consultative process that forms the basis for everything we do for our customers, and they drive various aspects and key decision points within the project lifecycle, including planning facilitated workshops and product development. A significant portion of the Senior Analyst role is to oversee problem curation — a specialized tradecraft developed by BMNT to help our customers validate problems worth spending time, energy, and resources to solve — and how it fits into the broader system of innovation at BMNT. A high-performing Senior Analyst will therefore demonstrate expertise in everything we do at BMNT, and is able to effectively communicate BMNT's competitive advantage in order to build credibility and trust with our customers.

Location: This is a hybrid position within commuting distance to our Arlington, VA office with the expectation of being in the office 2-3 days per week and sometimes more often based on customer needs.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing the H4D problem curation pipeline which includes assigning responsibility to scope problems, conducting quality assurance on scoping process and connecting scoped problems with universities and potential deployment pathways;
  • Maintaining the quality and rigor of the H4D problem scoping process by training and certifying BMNT analysts to independently conduct problem scoping;
  • Managing workflow and delegating tasks across Program teams to ensure timely completion;
  • Planning, executing and facilitating in-person and virtual H4D Problem Sourcing Seminars with organizations across the Department of Defense;
  • Identifying secondary and tertiary problems and opportunities that BMNT could address for customers;
  • Establishing strong relationships with customers through developing a positive connection and trust with customers and demonstrating credibility to them;
  • Leading customer meetings and phone calls, including answering in-depth questions about BMNT methodologies;
  • Conducting customer interviews to understand the scope and root of a problem;
  • Demonstrating the ability to synthesize and analyze data and present findings in a clear and concise manner;
  • Quickly understands the scope and root of a problem, synthesizes and analyzes data, and presents findings in a clear, succinct, and polished manner;
  • Leading elements of the customer relationship, including setting agendas and closing-out activities or action items;
  • Conducting independent research and developing project plans that reflect customer needs;
  • Building coalitions and enlisting the help from other team members to meet customer needs;
  • Providing guidance, motivation, support, and role modeling to fellow Analysts;
  • Exhibiting and modeling professional and respectful behavior contributing to the overall culture of the BMNT team.

  • The ability to travel approximately 25% of the time to engage program stakeholders;
  • U.S. citizenship.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Salary : $133,500 - $134,000
