Job Summary
This role is responsible for delivering exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifying their needs and providing advice on financial solutions that meet their interests. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver a desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Engage with existing customers and prospects to provide needs-based assessments, grow loyalty, and identify immediate/future opportunities
- Needs Assessments: Conduct assessments to identify financial solutions and preferred banking channels, recommending tailored solutions addressing sales and service needs
- Digital Banking: Offer clients advice and guidance on available digital and self-serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast
- Business Growth: Engage customers to grow BMO's business by reaching out, generating appointments, and building new relationships within the community
- Quality Checks: Address questions and resolve issues raised through consumer credit audits and quality checks to ensure accurate data entry and lending application recommendations
- Risk Management: Apply the risk management framework to the portfolio to protect the Bank's assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio
- Credit Recommendations: Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, in accordance with sound credit granting principles and Bank policies
- Marketing Integration: Integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations to provide strategic advice
- Compliance: Follow through on risk and compliance processes and policies to safeguard customers' assets, maintain their privacy, and act in their best interest
Qualifications
- Experience: Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience, post-secondary degree in a related field desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Registration: Registration to sell investment products completed as appropriate for the jurisdiction
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of retail investments and lending products, experience in financial services an asset
- Skills: Confident and experienced in using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications
