Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive experience for our customers, whether in a quick-service fast food restaurant, grocery store, café, or restaurant setting.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions quickly and accurately.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance the customer experience.
- Assist with food preparation and service when necessary, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
- Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen
Requirements
- Must currently drive and have your own vehicle.
- Previous experience in a cashier role or similar position in a quick-service fast food restaurant, grocery store, café, or kitchen is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with customers.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be on your feet for long periods of time.
- High school diploma.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
