Production Planner

Job Summary

BMR Suspension is the leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension products for late model Camaros, late model Mustangs, late model Challengers, and classic GM muscle cars. Our products are sold through Summit Racing, Jegs, American Muscle, and Classic Industries as well as small installation shops across the USA. We are seeking a high-energy, intelligent Production Planner to help manage our manufacturing operations. This position reports to the President.

We manufacture products for consumers under the BMR Suspension name. We are not a job shop. We have 5 product manufacturing departments, 4 component manufacturing departments, 2 materials departments, and 1 warehouse. There are 2 manufacturing locations (Lakeland and Seffner). This is a computer-focused position, but it requires significant interaction with shop personnel.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Create monthly shop forecast based on historical product sales
• Create and manage multiple shop schedules based on the forecast
• Create purchase orders for outside vendors and internal production departments
• Update and manage product hot list
• Update and manage the product completion dates document
• Perform weekly cycle counts of finished goods per the cycle count schedule
• Enter daily production data in inventory module of ERP software

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have 3 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must have a high school diploma
• College degree preferred
• Must be an expert with MS Excel
• Must be a dynamic, high-energy person (no slackers)
• Must be intelligent (IQ test will be given)
• Strong mechanical aptitude (written test will be given)
• Must have strong values
• Must pass a drug test
• No felony convictions
• Must have a valid driver license
• Must have a history of company loyalty
• Priority will be given to people who own and/or wrench on hot rods and race cars
• Priority will be given to people with a military background

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Education:

• Manufacturing: 1 year (Required)
