What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef de Cuisine - French Concept position at BMRS?
Highly acclaimed Los Angeles group is looking for an exceptionally skilled Chef de Cuisine (or Executive Chef, title TBD) for a new French concept. Looking for top culinary talent! This chef will work with the Michelin caliber team in preparation for the opening and in close collaboration with leadership as the menu develops. Chef de Cuisine/Executive Chef Responsibilities:
- Delivering incredible food of the highest caliber that is consistent with company standards
- Collaborate with and support the team keeping an eye on current trends and seasonal ingredients
- Champion professionalism through responsible leadership
- Scheduling, hiring, training and mentoring culinary team members
- Proactively manage orders, inventory, costs, and budgets
- Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Chef de Cuisine/Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in a similar position (Exec Sous Chef, CDC, Senior Sous Chef, Exec Chef)
- Chef-driven background in respected, acclaimed restaurants
- French cuisine experience preferred
- Michelin or James Beard training a plus
- Creative, innovative thinking and an eye on trends in the industry
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities: team focused, and people driven
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and on holidays
Compensation / Benefits:
- Base salary in the $95-110k range
