- Leads and manages all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) requirements for the battery plant project implementation, installation, start-up and acceptance, as well as provides engineering support of new installations and optimization measures of the structure, lighting, equipment and other technologies in the building.
- Provides project management for battery plant engineering projects, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, rain water systems, electrical power distribution, IT , fire alarm, compressed air, sprinkler.
- Leads project evaluations by identifying/capturing gaps, dependencies, resources, risk and financial impacts.
- Coordinates, procures and implements the installation of secondary systems as a link between the building and the equipment and provides technical support for new equipment installation.
- Supports contractor activities in engineering, installing, commissioning, documentation, and sign-off of new equipment & structure projects.
- Conducts cost estimate (invest, budget), technical specification and request for quotes.
- Maintains project cost targets and budget forecasts.
- Participates in cross-functional project teams supporting activities related to the construction of the battery plant.
- Provides sustainable, innovative and operationally optimal building concepts. Review and consolidation of building requirements. Implementation and development of BMW building standards.
- Ensures fire protection, occupational safety and other legal requirements are met.
- Obtains and shares best practice solutions within the BMW Group network.
- Collaborates with reference planning for continuous improvement relating to mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) topics.
- Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
- Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.

- BA/BS Degree in Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or any discipline related to mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) or AA/AS Degree in a technical discipline and 2 years of related professional experience in a manufacturing industry (automotive preferred) or 4 years of related professional experience in a manufacturing industry (automotive preferred).
- 5 years of structure project implementation, project steering/leadership & support experience.
- 5 years of experience in an engineering environment (automotive process or automotive).
- 5 years of experience of managing projects including experience with structural modification measures in several equipment and/or controls projects.
- 5 years ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- 5 years knowledge of organizational processes (budgeting, resource management).
- 5 years of professional communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
- 5 years of skills in teamwork and building relationships.
- 5 years professional MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Power BI Access).
- 5 years of professional interpersonal and intercultural skills.
- 5 years knowledge of BMW Management System and Processes (preferred).
- 2 years of professional strategic planning, critical thinking, and innovation skills.
- German Language skills (preferred).
