This role offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a meaningful impact on the safety of our projects, employees, and clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safety leadership, coaching, and support to project managers and field teams.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict adherence to safety policies, regulations, and client requirements through proactive monitoring and inspections.
- Develop and implement effective safety training programs for location management and workers to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain positive working relationships and minimize company exposure to incidents and claims.
- Provide regular updates on safety statistics and trends to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Serve as a liaison between the company, clients, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and local drug testing requirements.
- Mentor local safety specialists and manage training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Employee Health and Safety or equivalent required.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in employee health and safety within a constructor or heavy industrial environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA 500, OSHA 300, OSHA 10, and NCCER, 29 CFR 1910 and 1926.
- Understanding of area insurance programs.
