In the last 5 years, we have made significant progress in transitioning BMZ USA from a sales office into a development and manufacturing company. We are looking for a well-seasoned professional with experience and the mindset to not only execute the daily tasks but also to take on new challenges as we continue our path to become the biggest supplier for customized li-ion battery pack solutions.
POSITION SUMMARY
Oversee and coordinate the design, development and production launch of lithium-ion battery solutions.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Include the following, but other duties may apply:
- Lead new battery development projects through gated NPI process
- Plan and coordinate requirements between multi-disciplinary teams working on specific projects
- Report project progress and performance against planned timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate activities between functional groups, such as Engineering, Operations, Quality, etc.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for assigned products through development.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
- Some travel required.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 3 years of experience managing technical projects involving multi-disciplinary teams.
- Must be fluent in English and able to communicate with others effectively.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Project.
ADDITIONAL VALUED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (NOT REQUIRED)
- Certified PMP.
- Understand lithium-ion batteries and systems.
- Understand electronic control systems.
- Experience with printed circuit boards.
- Experience sourcing suppliers, both foreign and domestic.

Working hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST., Monday through Friday; occasional overtime and weekend hours will be required. The noise levels in some manufacturing facilities frequently may exceed the normal dBA (noise level). Work conditions may include elevated noise levels requiring hearing protection. While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to some mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock.
The employee may be required to occasionally wear safety glasses and possibly hearing protection, as well as proper grounding equipment to eliminate the chance of electrostatic discharge.
