What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boat Rental Attendant position at BNB Buddy?
This is a seasonal position (although perhaps there are other areas you can help us through other seasons).
Dock Attendants are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the boat rental operation of BNB-Buddy out of the Sara-Placid Hotel. This includes: Taking rental reservations via phone and walk-in, interacting with customers, going over safety procedures, and refueling boats. Dock Attendants must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be willing, able to roll up the sleeves and handle, resolve issues and have an entrepreneurial mind and excellent customer service skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work weekends
- Interact with customers and help them rent boats
- Refuel boats
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist in marketing efforts as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the dock area, including regular inspections and upkeep of equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Navigate waterways and drive a boat
- Must have a drivers license and clean driving record
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or boating-related field
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands:
The Dock Supervisor must be able to:
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Swim
- Stand for long periods of time
- Bend, stoop, and reach
- Work in a variety of weather conditions
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Work Location: In person
