What Will You Do?

Job Purpose Statement

To lead General Managers of assigned restaurants by developing, coaching, and requiring them to operate each restaurant according to QSC standards while achieving financial and profitability standards.

Job Functions

• Hire, develop, and retain competent General Managers in assigned restaurants.  Ensure all new General Managers are oriented and trained properly.
• Ensure General Managers hire, develop, and retain competent management teams in assigned restaurants.  Ensure all new management and crew are oriented and trained properly.
• Ensure General Managers and their management teams demonstrate the BNE Values by treating all employees with dignity and respect without exception.
• Ensure General Managers and their management teams develop, coach, and require employees to follow all operational and safety procedures.
• Ensure our guests in assigned restaurants receive the best service possible by providing fresh quality products in a clean and friendly environment.
• Review the Profit & Loss Statement and Performance Standards at the end of each period with each assigned General Manager creating action plans as needed and coaching General Managers to maximize profitability.
• Plan weekly work schedule to allow adequate time in assigned restaurants to properly develop General Managers and management teams and forward schedule to Director or Vice President.  Notify Director or Vice President of schedule changes.
• Visit each assigned restaurant a minimum of once every two weeks and visit restaurants once a week that are not operating up to standards.  Restaurant visits should be a minimum of a half day and preferably a full day.
• Upon arrival at restaurant, complete Pathing first to identify, evaluate and correct critical deficiencies.  During visit evaluate service, product and cleanliness standards including service and product hold times and temperatures to ensure QSC.  Review Ecosure Critical Deficiency Checklist and address concerns.
• Count change funds and validate cash handling procedures are being followed in each assigned restaurant at least once per month.
• Conduct a weekly and monthly inventory in an assigned restaurant.
• Complete Performance Appraisals at designated times and review them with General Managers in assigned restaurants providing a fair and balanced assessment of their performance.
• Ensure that all assigned restaurants’ equipment and facilities are used according to company policy and that all receive proper care and maintenance.
• Ensure personal appearance meets company standard and display professionalism at all times.
• Recognize and adhere to all HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant environment for all.
• Required to work the holiday and holiday weekend of Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. Exceptions must be approved in advance by the Regional Director or Regional Vice President.  Alternative days off may be taken during the following month in exchange for the holiday days worked.
• Consistently exhibit the actions/behaviors which best demonstrate BNE’s Vision and Values; perform other tasks as directed by management; and at all times represent Boddie-Noell Enterprises, Inc. as a professional in every aspect of performance.
