Overview
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Global Controller will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting, preparation of financial statements, and reporting for multiple business entities. This position, seated in Charlotte, NC, will have full P&L responsibility, which includes, but is not limited to all corporate accounting, financial statement consolidations, analysis, annual audits and working and leading an international team. Position Description
- Prepare and publish timely monthly & quarterly financial statements
- Prepare and execute investor communications, board meeting materials
- Manage external auditor relationships to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient manner
- Establish, implement, manage and monitor critical accounting and reporting policies, processes and associated metrics
- Work closely with management team, set standards and drive compliance across the entire organization
Core Competencies
- High sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills; advanced proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
- Good understanding of international finance including complex global systems and international consolidations
- Experience driving transformation and efficiencies in controls and accounting systems
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, business, or a related field required; CPA or CPA eligible required.
- At least six (6) years of professional experience. Specific accounting and financial experience within a franchise environment a plus
- Proficiency with business and accounting software required; NetSuite experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills as well as gap analysis
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
- Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and policies
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally
