Corporate Audit Services (CAS) provides independent, objective assurance, risk identification and mitigation, and consulting activities designed to add value and improve the BNSF community. Our auditors have the opportunity to work across the company on a range of topics of significance and can expect to interact with various leaders including senior leaders at BNSF.
This position is located at our Fort Worth, Texas corporate office and has the potential to be a hybrid position with up to 50% remote work.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manages, plans, develops and executes audits across various business areas leveraging data analytics.
- Manages, plans, develops, and executes audits across various business areas.
- Leads team in analyzing large and complex datasets and communicating related audit findings to positively impact the organization, successfully changing style to best suit the situation.
- Consults with senior leadership on internal controls about the proposed business processes or systems changes. Converts difficult interactions into win-win scenarios.
- Identifies strategic business processes, evaluates significant business risks, understands critical business objectives, and examines processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participates in annual audit planning. Continually assesses audit plan for alignment with strategic initiatives. Recommends adjustments to Management as the environment changes.
- Oversees the day-to-day development of staff to execute audits and develop leaders effectively.
- Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing based on a continuous reassessment of risks and scope, allocating resources, and resolving resource conflicts.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Business, Accounting, Audit, or other business-related disciplines.
- Prior Audit experience required
- Five or more years of related work experience required. Data analytics experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven team leader and leadership experience
- Excellent working knowledge of day-to-day railroad operations and practices
- Prior experience in audit and knowledge of audit methods and techniques
- MBA
- CPA, CIA, CISA, CISP, or other relevant professional certification(s) strongly preferred
