The BNSF Railway Technology Services department drives innovation and efficiency by developing and maintaining advanced technological solutions across the network. This team ensures a robust IT infrastructure, supports critical applications, and enhances cybersecurity measures. Their expertise is essential in optimizing operations and enabling BNSF to deliver reliable, cutting-edge transportation services.
This is a full-time position located in Fort Worth, TX. This position requires incumbent to be in on-call rotation providng 24x7 support. For certain positions, including this one, employees can work one day per week remotely. Travel is minimal, less than 10%.
Key responsibilities may include:
Architect, install, configure, test and support the Axway B2Bi, Secure Relay, Event Router, Sentinel, and Decision Insight products as well as perform EDI Mapping.
Problem-solve and assist in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing complex, high visibility projects.
Coordinate with leaders and other teams to develop appropriate interfaces and ensure quality and efficiency through capacity planning, performance assessment, as well as integration and regression testing to resolve complex business needs.
Daily work is conducted in an indoor office environment.

Basic Qualifications:
- Able to work in the US without company sponsorship now AND in the future.
- Bachelor’s degree (preference in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Business) or equivalent formal training or work experience
- Minimum 10 years work experience in an Information Technology environment
- 2 years in an engineering and support role working on Axway B2Bi and Secure Relay products
- Installation, configuration, and testing/validation experience required
- 2 years in an engineering and support role working on Axway B2Bi and Secure Relay products
- Experience and working knowledge of IBM MQ Series (or equivalent)
- Experience in EDI (X12) with an understanding of document structure and error handling
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced in mapping partner transactions
- Well versed in Linux shell (bash) scripting
- Experience with Axway Event Router
- Experience with Axway Decision Insight
- Experience with MQ/IPT
- Experience with file transfer (FTP/sFTP), MQ Series and AS2 protocols
- Experience with defining and troubleshoot data interchange partner transactions
- Perl Scripting
- Python coding
- Basic understanding of APIs
- Advanced Linux system commands and understanding of performance and capacity planning
- Understanding of F5 (BigIP) Load Balancer
- Understanding of best practices for application security considerations and solutions
- Experience with developing and/or configuring dashboards and analytics
