Job Overview & Responsibilities
BNT is seeking a self-motivated individual with a passion for travel to serve as a full-time Tour Planner. In collaboration with the broader team, the Tour Planner will be responsible for planning itineraries for BNT retail tours (overnight tours and one-day tours), Custom Group tours, and Receptive Tours coming into Lancaster County. More specifically, the Tour Planner will:
- Develop creative tour itineraries through independent research and consultation with local tour guides, visitors’ bureaus, DMOs, and packagers
- Book travel arrangements to ensure a seamless travel experience, including flights, hotels, restaurants, attractions, and other services
- Provide detailed written itineraries for advertising purposes
- Conduct briefing meetings with Tour Directors prior to departure to review itineraries in detail and communicate relevant travel information; conduct debriefing meetings upon return to learn of highlights and areas for improvement
- Coordinate and communicate final details to suppliers, vendors, Tour Directors, and travelers prior to departure
- Utilize Tour Tools (BNT’s tour planning software) to manage and maintain all aspects of assigned tours, including inputting and updating tour details, bookings, payments, and cancellations
- Assist other Tour Planners and BNT staff members, as needed, to provide a positive tour experience for travelers
- Stay informed about travel trends and destinations
- Build and maintain a professional network of travel partners that include clients, group leaders, vendors, and other industry colleagues

- Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office
- Experience in the travel industry, a plus
