Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the workflow and scheduling of estimating activities to meet both immediate and long-term company objectives
- Work closely with operational teams and clients to outline project scopes and review bid documents
- Request bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring all necessary documentation is distributed
- Develop estimates for initial designs, ensuring accurate pricing through comprehensive research
- Negotiate pricing, resolve any discrepancies, and foster strong relationships with clients
- Compile and present completed estimating packages to management for approval
- Track bid projects and provide accurate forecasts for future project awards and their likelihood
- Work with operations to hand over awarded projects and manage procurement processes when needed
