We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, AI Strategic Planning to join our AI Intelligence Hub Engineering team. This role is located in New York City, NY – Hybrid.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Strategic Planning: Leads key strategic initiatives in the planning, analysis, implementation, integration, and measurement of business development projects for the AI Intelligence Hub.
- Strategic Direction: Provides recommendations to the strategic direction for the AI Intelligence Hub.
- Complex Business Solutions: Provides solutions and recommendations for complex business initiatives within the AI Intelligence Hub, requiring an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
- Operational Improvements: Partners with business line managers to design short, medium, and long-term operational improvements.
- Operational Strategy Execution: Develops and ensures the execution of the operational/business strategy to improve processes, productivity, and efficiency, and to reduce costs for the AI Intelligence Hub.
- Comprehensive Knowledge Application: Utilizes a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of multiple areas across disciplines to achieve project objectives.
- Strategic Planning Guidance: Guides and consults with teams during the strategic planning process. May advise teams on strategy and process decisions.
- Operational Strategy Execution: Executes the operational/business strategy and related activities for the AI Intelligence Hub.
- Contemporary Business Concepts: Keeps abreast of contemporary concepts in business strategy and management and applies these to develop innovative solutions and transformation plans and roadmaps.
- Team Guidance: Provides guidance to more junior staff, although there are no direct reports.
- Business Objectives Achievement: Contributes to the achievement of AI Intelligence Hub objectives.
This role aligns with the Platforms Operating Model by ensuring that strategic planning and operational improvements are effectively integrated within the AI Intelligence Hub, supporting the overall goals and objectives of the platform.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
- 10-12 years of related experience preferred. Experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $139,000 and $225,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
