We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate to join our Corporate Lending team. This role is located in New York, New York – HYBRID.
The Corporate Lending team covers a diverse range of industries, including TMT, utilities, retail, industrial, automotive, and oil & gas. The Senior Associate will be an integral part of the team, contributing to the growth and management of the bank’s corporate loan portfolio. This role involves supporting the sourcing, underwriting, and management of corporate loan portfolios, requiring strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of credit risk, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. This position combines analytical, client-facing, and strategic responsibilities to ensure the delivery of high-quality lending solutions to large corporate clients. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Credit Analysis: Perform detailed credit analysis of corporate clients, including financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and industry research.
- Underwriting: Assist in the underwriting process for new loan opportunities, including preparing credit memos and presenting recommendations to the credit committee.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage a portfolio of corporate loans, ensuring compliance with credit policies and identifying potential risks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including risk management, legal, and compliance, to ensure seamless execution of lending transactions. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance the bank's lending capabilities.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate lending, credit analysis, or a related field within the financial services industry. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and credit analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $58,000 and $105,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Salary : $58,000 - $105,000
