As the Governance Lead for the Digital Assets Business, and member of the Risk, Controls, and Resiliency team the primary focus and responsibilities will be to support the business in delivering high value products / solutions by ensuring proper product and business governance. You will also help the business advance the digital assets agenda across the enterprise – working closely with traditional lines of business with a nexus to digital assets, and working with stakeholders in regulatory relations, public policy and government affairs, legal, risk, compliance, and audit. This role is located in New York – HYBRID
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Serving as a subject matter expert and maintaining the Digital Asset Business product governance procedures and framework
- Advising product teams on the implementation of the Digital Asset Product Execution Lifecycle processes
- Facilitating the DAB governance meetings, including the Steering Forum and Business Acceptance Forum; and ensuring that decision making evidence is properly retained.
- Set-up a procedure to govern pricing approvals.
- Maintain reputational risk decision trees and serve as a subject matter expert in their deployment; train the remainder of the firm
- Serve as the Business document reviewer.
- Develops materials and participates in regulatory meetings, and plays a lead role in managing regulatory requests and working across the enterprise on prioritization.
Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate/Possess:
- Proven experience navigating a new business or function at multiple levels, with an ability to immediately begin identifying potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary to develop effective materials and work with peers, executives, and stakeholders in functions/business areas across the firm.
- Experience leading and managing teams, including a focus on mentoring/coaching and goal setting.
- Several years of experience supporting entities or businesses in the digital assets, blockchain/DLT, banking, or related technologies space.
- Proven experience assessing the design and effectiveness of processes and controls.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing, revising, and writing policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and implementing solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 7 years’ experience in Financial Services. Digital Assets experience preferred
