We’re seeking future team member to join our team as a Vice President, Control I located in Pittsburgh, PA. Hybrid work available.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Partners with business and process owners to ensure an effective control environment to manage risk consistent with the defined risk appetite of the business.
- Will work with the business to ensure appropriate controls are implemented or modified where necessary based on the introduction of new products, processes, business changes or where it is determined that controls are not designed or operating effectively.
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of the business to ensure end to end continuity of controls across the business including effective oversight and monitoring of processes outsourced to affiliates or third parties.
- Monitors and assesses controls designed to ensure Wealth’s compliance with applicable regulation.
- Operating with a high degree of independence, conducts analyses and leads projects to improve internal controls that keep up with regulations and corporate standards.
- Ensures that existing controls and procedures are documented, comprehensive in nature and up to date.
- May help design and deliver training programs to ensure that proper control procedures are understood and followed.
- Assists in analyzing technology and market trends to determine potential resulting risks to the organization and how to address risks across businesses.
- May supervise the work of junior control professionals.
- Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
- Supports multiple, complex projects and owns project timelines.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.
