We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Events & Experiences to join our Marketing and Communications team as a member of the Events & Experiences Center of Excellence. This HYBRID role can be located in one of 3 base locations: Jersey City (NJ), New York (NY), or Pittsburgh (PA).
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- With minimal guidance, work collaboratively with event leadership, marketing partners and business stakeholders to conceptualize, develop and implement integrated event marketing strategies and experiential activations.
- Proactively manage and execute a steady stream of client-centric, commercially focused events (proprietary, third-party, and virtual), including high profile client advisory boards, and elevate our brand through innovative experiences, dynamic brand activations, and integrated event marketing programs.
- Accountable for end-to-end event management for both proprietary events and third-party sponsorships, including agenda and content development, vendor management, site research, contract negotiation, expense management, catering, audio visual management, budget reconciliation, invoice processing, pre/post-event reporting, and ROI analysis.
- Engage in strategic event planning with key internal stakeholders, including C-level executives, ensuring benchmarks and goals are met and results are measured/reported.
- Create and manage registration websites, event apps and custom email communications including invitations, reminders, and confirmations on Cvent.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- High-energy initiative-taker with 10 years of related experience in complex B2B event management and a passion for organizing unforgettable events and high-touch experiences.
- Superior project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines, juggle multiple priorities and execute flawlessly with incredible attention to detail through all stages of the event lifecycle.
- Events SME with strong knowledge of event marketing and sponsorship/tradeshow strategies, and an understanding of event operating procedures and best practices. Demonstrated level of confidence and professionalism managing relationships and interfacing with internal and external business partners and senior executives at all levels, including C-suite.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills. Relentless passion for delivering excellence and exceeding client and stakeholder expectations.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing/hospitality or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Expertise with Cvent or relevant event technologies
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel pivot tables
- Ability to travel (20% or more) and work off hours as needed

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $97,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Salary : $97,000 - $179,000
