We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Infrastructure Engineering Manager (Mainframe) to join our Technology Service Group. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA and Lake Mary, FL. (4 days in office required). The candidate must reside within a commutable distance to this work location, as we are unable to accommodate 100% virtual work arrangements.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- This role will oversee a broad range of delivery projects to fulfill both hardware and software Lifecycle Management. This individual will be responsible for managing the teams that administer multiple Mainframes running on z/OS systems, using various technologies like JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS, Source code management, SDLC practices and Security mechanisms such as ACF2, RACF and TSS.
- The candidate will be responsible for rethinking the assumptions behind how traditional services are built and how to mature, enhance and continuously improve capabilities through innovation and automation. He will partner with solutioning Data center services, Production Services Application Developers, to shape new opportunities.
- Develop, assess, adhere to completion of personnel, departmental, and company goals. Participate in and provide timely responses to all internal and external audits
- The candidate should have Knowledge in JCL, system IPL processes, ISPF/TSO, ITIL or ITSM oversight or expertise in Release, Change and CMDB. Installation knowledge of ISV SW and IBM Operating systems
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred8-10 years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, able to summarize complex topics into actionable insights. Build relationships and lead with internal and external teams. Possess communication skills to appropriately lead at the client/team/Business unit levels.
- Experience in diverse mainframe technical environments. Experienced in one or more mainframe infrastructure, hardware, system programming technologies and/or application development. Alternative experiences must include high learning agility to acquire mainframe technology knowledge and apply previous experiences to achieve operational outcomes.
- Experience in leading complex projects and programs, tooling, utilities, data transport, architecture and design principles.
