We’re seeking a future team member for the role of VP, audit Project leader to join our Infrastructure Technology team within Internal Audit. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL (Hybrid – 3 days in the office.)
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Performing audit related activities and working as a team member on audit assignments.
- Functioning as an “in-charge” on audits and/or regulatory validations, leading the way with your expertise.
- Executing risk-focused fieldwork in accordance with Internal Audit policies, methodologies, and standards to identify meaningful issues, risks, and exposures.
- Leveraging knowledge of infrastructure technology, networking, and related domains to assess, plan, and deliver risk-based audits.
- Building relationships with business and operational personnel to assess infrastructure configurations, ensuring they align with industry best practices.
- Applying advanced analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex issues and find innovative solutions with minimal day to day oversight.
- Contributing specialized skill sets or business knowledge to other facets of audits to solve complex audit issues.
- Applying understanding of key regulations and industry standards such as COBIT, ISO 27001&2, NIST SP800-53, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework to identify inconsistencies and develop solutions.
- Identifying automation opportunities and actively advancing recommendations for Data Analytic solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Demonstrating leadership through work guidance and training of less experienced peers and providing valuable advice to assigned clients.
- Understanding Data Protection risks and strategies to safeguard information.
- Effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
- Committing to stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving audit methodologies, contributing to the achievement of team goals.
- Technical and practical knowledge of infrastructure components, such as servers, storage systems (SAN/NAS), databases, cloud services, operating systems, and network devices to assess, plan and deliver risk-based audits. Comprehensive understanding of concepts including but not limited to:
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex technical information and communicate it effectively to stakeholders.
- Network architecture and design: including routing protocols, VLANs, Software Defined Networks, and firewalls.
- Operating Systems and Directory Services: involving Windows, Linux, Z/OS, and Active Directory with a focus on architecture, design, and best practices.
- Database Management Systems: covering Oracle, DB2, Sybase, SQL Server, and MongoDB for configuration and access management.
- Middleware Solutions: incorporating WebSphere MQ, Kafka for architecture, design, and configuration.
- Network Storage System Management.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in Technology field, or relevant critical thinking specialty may be applicable for specialties preferred. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP) are a plus.
- 7-10 years of total work experience required, including leadership roles.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in auditing infrastructure, networking, and technology systems in a complex organizational setting.
