We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Studio Designer I to join our Engineering Loan Enablement team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: In this role the candidate should have experience providing guidance and technical expertise for the most complex user experience activities that include user research and testing, interactive design, and visual design. They will review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams, as well as new and modified user personals. The candidate will be expected to participate in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules. Figma is our in-house tool for ux design – facility and expertise is expected. Additionally, they should be able to synthesize situations and information across multiple factors. As well as seek to build their expertise while applying company policies and procedures in the resolution of a variety of issues. They should be able to build effective relationships with people on their immediate team and across other teams. And be a strong communicator that checks for understanding, asks questions to understand others’ point of view, and advocates for the user experience across the firm.
Overall, this role will receive general instructions on routine work from both the UX Director and several product leads. They will be expected to regularly exercise discretion and execute under limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research and testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.
- Create and review documentation of research findings for presentation to product and development teams.
- Develop and modify user personas based on research findings.
- Participate in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications.
- Utilize Figma for UX design tasks, demonstrating expertise and proficiency.
- Synthesize information across multiple factors to inform design decisions.
- Apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
- Build effective relationships with team members and cross-functional teams.
- Communicate effectively, ensuring understanding and advocating for the user experience across the firm.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, user experience, design, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 6 years of experience in UX design, with a focus on user research, interactive design, and visual design.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in Figma and other UX design tools.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand and advocate for different perspectives.
- Ability to work independently and exercise discretion under limited supervision.
