We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Control Manager to join our Loans Enablement Platform Controls team. This role is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – HYBRID. (Candidate must reside within commutable distance to the office. We are unable to consider sponsorship for this role.)
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Understand platform driven risks and identify, analyze, and drive the definition of technology controls or control automation.
Collaborate with product, operations, and application development staff to drive the automation of manual business specific controls and identify opportunities for automated control monitoring.
Monitor and analyze the portfolio of platform specific technology control issues, escalating areas of risk to the 1LOD Control Lead as appropriate within the portfolio of platform specific technology control issues.
Analyze the impact of general technology controls on the risk profile of the platform, contribute to RCSAs, Risk Reviews, HLAs, and QPRs as required.
Assess risks and controls associated with changes to existing products and development of new products to determine the way forward.
Contribute to root cause analysis of operational risk, technology and cyber-specific events, identifying potential control gaps or remediation requirements.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
4 years of total work experience required. Experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.
Comprehensive understanding of a risk and control framework, control design, identification and articulation of control issues, and the assessment of control effectiveness.
Requires business, regulatory, operational and technology risk and control management expertise.
Deep industry/business/product knowledge and expertise on risk and control functions (incl. best practices.)
Be solutions-oriented with strong control focus.
Embody agile mindsets, with a focus on continuous improvement and simplification.
