We're seeking a future team member for the role of Head of Identity Engineering - Senior Director to join our Information Security Division - Cyber Identity and Access Management team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA; Lake Mary, FL; or New York City, NY - HYBRID.

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to head our Identity Engineering team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of contemporary Identity and Access Management (IAM) industry offerings, including technologies and processes. They will be responsible for developing and implementing authorization and authentication strategies that align with BNY's overall business objectives and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead a team of engineers and developers to design, develop, and implement IAM solutions that meet the bank's security and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the IAM industry, including emerging trends and technologies, such as:
- Identity Governance Administration (IGA)
- Access Management (AM)
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Identity as a Service (IDaaS)
- Single Sign-On (SSO) protocols, including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Adaptive Authentication
- Directory Services, including Active Directory and LDAP
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Present strategy and concepts to executive-level stakeholders, including the ability to articulate the value proposition of IAM solutions.
- Stay up to date with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: GDPR, SOX, FFIEC, NIST.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
- 15 years of experience in information security or related technology experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- 10 years of practical experience as an engineering leader in the IAM field.
- Ability to think strategically and operate at the executive level.
- Broad regulatory understanding and ability to name relevant regulations.
- Experience with contemporary IAM industry offerings, including:
- Identity Governance Administration (IGA)
- Access Management (AM)
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Identity as a Service (IDaaS)
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of engineers and developers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical expertise in areas such as:
- SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
- MFA and Adaptive Authentication
- Directory Services, including Active Directory and LDAP
- Cloud-based IAM solutions, including AWS IAM and Azure AD
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with client identity management technology and processes.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the ability to manage a team in an Agile environment.
- Experience working in a global organization with a complex technology infrastructure.
