We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, POM Technical Product Management II to join our Banking as a Service team. This role is located in New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA – HYBRID (3 days a week)
As an API Product Manager, you will play a critical role in defining, developing, and managing the lifecycle of our API products across BNY’s Banking-as-a-Service offering. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and customer support, to ensure our APIs meet market demands and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in API product management, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling product strategies.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways :
- Manage the entire API product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization ensuring services are scalable, secure, and easy to use.
- Collaborate closely with the API engineering team on key elements of API design and principles such as intuitive naming, consistent patterns, versioning, etc.
- Design service contracts (API specifications, etc.) with capability providers to create a consistent and strong API experience for bank’s clients.
- Prioritize API features and enhancements based on customer feedback, usage data, and business impact.
- Engage with customers, directly or indirectly, to understand their needs, pain points, and how they use APIs.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $81,000 and $203,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department / team performance, and market factors.
Salary : $81,000 - $203,000
