Email Routing Engineer (contract)

The Email Routing Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the compliance of all systems, applications, software, and hardware with Corporate policy and procedures. They are responsible for identifying issues, developing solutions, documenting design and build processes, and maintaining standard operating procedures. This position involves developing project plans, tracking progress, collaborating with various teams to understand infrastructure needs, implementing technology changes for enhanced reliability and efficiency, performing production support tasks, and driving process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains and may lead the process for documenting design, build, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintains documentation of design, build, and procedures and Application Mail Routing.
• Develops detailed project plans and tracks project progress.
• Assists in ensuring that all systems, applications, software, and hardware are compliant with Corporate policy/procedures.
• Works with Application Development and Quality Assurance, Testing, and Business teams to understand infrastructure needs during the planning, design, development, and testing processes.
• Assists in implementing changes to the organization's infrastructure technology that enhance its reliability, resiliency, and efficiency.
  
  

Skills:

• Technical Writing/Documentation
• Knowledge of Mail Delivery (SPF/MX/DKIM) - 7 years of experience
• Working Knowledge of Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)
• Proofpoint Email Gateway
• Proficiency with Exchange, Exchange Online
• Proficiency with Splunk (for searching/reporting/dashboards) is a plus
• Working knowledge of Power BI is also a plus.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
